Conceptual Modern Architecture by Matthias Arndt

Matthias Arnt of Lichtecht Architecture creates some of the worlds best architectural concepts and visualisations. His work takes conceptual design to the next level, he balances a line between believability and surrealism. Lichtecht has a distinct advantage of most visualisation firms in that they are also a crew of architects - rather than just being high end illustrators. The work takes on a new layer of depth and conviction due to the care and knowledge used to create each piece. Admittedly I’ve become almost obsessed with following what they are working on and intrigued to see what wonders they will bring to life in the future.

Forest Hotel Resort | Revugia Design & Architecture

Revugia is a minimalist spa and wellness retreat in the middle of Germany’s Black Forest and Harz Mountains. Lichtecht was given the task to visualise the Hotel architecture in the most photorealistic way possible. Arndt's team have created a an awe-inspiring set of images that give you the impression it already exists. The resort is made up of multiple minimalist cabins and treehouses which have little impact upon the environment. The German developer TIDEVAND Bau is set to bring the design to life using wood, natural stone and glass.

Minimal Typography | By Nick Barclay
Minimal Typography | By Nick Barclay

by Andrew Smith June 22, 2019

Graphic Designer Nick Barclay has decided to pay tribute to cities and their 3 favorite colors through his minimal poster series 'Three Colors Cities'. For the city of New York, the yellow is reminiscent of the color of the taxis, the green is for the Statue of Liberty and the gray refers to the skyscrapers. On the poster of London, we find the red buses and phone booths. You get the idea, it's a fantastic and highly stylish use of the Swiss design style. The approach is something worth bookmarking if you need some killer typography examples.

Illustration Design | By Leroy van Drie
Illustration Design | By Leroy van Drie

Leroy van Drie used a clever combination of photography and illustration to create this high impact campaign for the Encore music scene in Amsterdam. The campaign visuals represent the hip-hop and R&B culture and translate both movement and rhythm into static poster designs. The carefully overlaid doodles and typography give a distinctly creative and human element to the work. The visual energy is a great way to help captures the viewers attention.
