New Zealand's Incredible Black Sand Beaches

New Zealand is filled with pristine natural environments, one of the most intriguing and dramatic is the black sand found in a number of beaches scattered across the country. Black sand is heavy, glossy, and magnetic. It's formed largely from volcanic activity and provides a stunning canvas for photography. The dark tones in the sand helps bring out subtle textures, particularly in low light. In this shot I've used Lightroom to accentuate some of this beautiful detail, it's definitely one of my favourite environments to shoot in.

Good Day, I am looking at producing a photographic book on caving in Kenya. There will seven areas in Kenya represented. This book will have about 8000 words copy, not including captions. 200 portrait and landscape images have been selected. Copy at present needs editorial assessment. Thank you.
